Favorite tunes

something made me want to discern which tunes are my absolute favorites.  perhaps to put a happy item on my homepage.   the effort turned out to be a great meditative exercise.  started with a list of all tunes i dig.  went thru, removing all except the very favorites.  hesitated often.  all tunes in the original full list are, by virtue of their being there, already well regarded. the plan was to further whittle this shortened list of favorites down in another pass, but found that some items were so compelling that they were marked with and asterik on the initial pass.  so i decided to take this "oh yeah, i love that one!" approach to mark the very very favorites. 20+ emerged, the common theme being their ability to induce goosebumps without fail, to ...
