last week i wrote about my news reader, i have been using it for 3 or 4 weeks now so it's time to reflect.
rss (a machine readable-, xml version of the latest items on a weblog, website or other form of online information) is nothing new, even dutch hopto has had an rss feed pretty much from the start. despite that, it took me a while (a couple of years actually) to really get into it. my main problem with rss is the format in which it is presented.
many rss readers treat subscriptions like email sorted in folders. the readers present a list of feeds and show new items per feed. this means that the user has to click on each feed to see the latest items. this approach has turned me off from many rss readers. i find this unintuitive, i want my information in a Blink of an eye, not ...
